AMC have released the first official still from season 2 of the Frank Darabont produced zombie-fest series 'The Walking Dead'. None of the returning cast are featured but hell we get to see some freaky looking zombie lady with lovely bulbous dead eyes! The picture featured at AMC also includes a quotation from Darabont next to it which you can read below. He explains what fantastic visions he sees around him whilst on set in Atlanta where production is currently taking place on the highly anticipated 13 epsiode season which is set to arrive sometime this October. 'The Walking Dead' stars Andrew Lincoln ('Love Actually'), Jon Bernthal, Michael Rooker ('Slither'), Norman Reedus, Jeffrey DeMunn, Laurie Holden ('Silent Hill'), Steven Yeun and the gorgeous Sarah Wayne Callies (below). Check the new still below.

Here's the Darabont quote:

"At this moment, I'm standing on a stretch of post-apocalypse interstate in Georgia, littered with abandoned cars and blessing my good luck to be reunited with our amazing cast, and our fantastic directors and crew. Across the board, there are none better. It's great to be shooting again. I think we've embarked on a great season."

And if you've been living under a freaking rock these past few months here's the general plot taken from season 1:

"'The Walking Dead' follows a group of survivors, led by police officer Rick Grimes, who travel in search of a safe and secure home. The comic goes on to explore the challenges of life in a world overrun by zombies who take a toll on the survivors, and sometimes the interpersonal conflicts present a greater danger to their continuing survival than the zombies that roam the country. Over time, the characters are changed by the constant exposure to death and some grow willing to do anything to survive."
