You may recall us banging on about a new Alamo Drafthouse Films, Magnet Releasing and Timpson Films co-production of 26 horror shorts recently? It was called ‘The ABCs of Death’ which would bring us 26 shorts each based on a letter of the alphabet. Well four new director’s have signed up and they’re a foursome of horror excellence. First we have Brit helmer Christopher Smith (‘Severance’, ‘Creep’, ‘Triangle’, ‘Black Death’), next up is ‘Frontiers’ director Xavier Gens. Then we have Noburo Iguchi (‘The Machine Girl’, ‘RoboGeisha’) and finally Kaare Andrews (‘Altitude’). 21 other director’s are already locked in as part of the project and the 26th spot will be decided by a contest open to new talent! The prize is $5000 in cash and you can check out the details below.
Submission are now open! Contest closes at midnight on 1 October. No entry fee required. Finalists will be announced on 31 October and the winning filmmaker will be announced on 15 November.
