The new season 6 executive producer on Showtime series ‘Dexter’, Scott Buck, has piped up with some interesting tidbits for the forthcoming series. In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly Buck revealed that they would be “bringing the character of Dexter Morgan back to basics”. We should also expect a more evolved incarnation of ‘Dexter’ himself. Michael C Hall once again returns to play the serial killing blood splatter analyst. Newcomers to the new season include Colin Hanks, Mos Def, Edward James Olmos (who is set to play Professor Gellar – a renown academic who takes an interest in a series of brutal murders occurring throughout Miami), Brea Grant and Josh Cooke. Check out exactly what beans Buck spilt below.
“This season will feature a murderer unlike any that the show has ever offered …” says Buck. “A serial killer on the level of the Zodiac killer or someone equally mysterious”
“We’re going into season 6 – let’s not be afraid to break some of the rules that we’ve so highly respected over the years. From our opening scene, we begin with Dexter in a place of great danger. Within seconds, you’re going to see Dexter in a place you haven’t seen him before.”
