The adaption of the Dark Horse comic book 'R.I.P.D.' (Rest In Peace Department) by Peter Lenkov may reportedly get it's own Clarice Starling according to Bloody Disgusting. The BD boys have exclusively learned that Universal Pictures are very interested in getting Jodie Foster ('Silence of the Lambs', 'Flightplan') to join Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges on the project. Of course she's already signed up to Neill Blomkam's ('District 9') new sci-fi project 'Elysium' which'll be shooting this Summer.
"Welcome to the Rest in Peace Department--the devoted, yet dead, officers of divine law enforcement "patrolling the deadbeat ... reporting to one boss." Yep--THAT boss. Nick Cruz died an untimely death at the height of his personal and professional life. Why did he join the R.I.P.D.? Well, not knowing the identity of his killer has left his soul a bit ... restless. Now he hunts some of the most fiendish creatures, hoping for the chance to find out who set him up so he can get into heaven."
'R.I.P.D.' is expected to arrive in theatres from the 28 June 2013, so a bit of a wait expected.
