The lord of the goth fantasy genre Tim Burton is currently working hard shooting his feature adaption of the classic 60’s TV show ‘Dark Shadows’ here in the UK. With a cast that already includes the likes of Jackie Earle Haley (‘Watchmen’), Michelle Pfeiffer, Bella Heathcote, Eva Green, Helena Bonham Carter, Thomas McDonell, Chloe Moretz (‘Kick-Ass’, ‘Let Me In’), and not forgetting Burton’s ‘go-to-guy’ Johnny Depp, word has it that another goth-loving star will be making an appearance in the movie. Legendary rocker Alice Cooper was on stage this past Sunday evening at London’s 100 Club and was joined surprisingly by Depp who played guitar on a couple of songs from the veteran performer’s setlist. And now his official site is commenting that allegedly Alice himself will cameo in the movie!
Here’s what Cooper’s site currently states:
“Johnny is in London working on the new Tim Burton movie Dark Shadows, and Alice is rumored to have a cameo part in the film as well…”
“The original series of ‘Dark Shadows’, created by Dan Curtis, spawned over 1225 episodes over the years and was a highly atmospheric, spooky soap that featured gothic horror staples like vampires, monsters, witches, werewolves, ghosts and zombies.”
‘Dark Shadows’ has a tentitive 11 May 2012 release date.
