Heat Vision are reporting that ex 'Mad Men' star Abigail Spencer will be joining the already elite cast for Sam Raimi's prequel to 'The Wizard of Oz'. The 'Evil Dead II' and 'Spiderman' director has snapped up the 29 year old 'Cowboys & Aliens' actress to appear as "a young woman who is a willing subject of Oz's magic tricks which the erstwhile magician is performing in Kansas". Spencer (below) will be joining the stars James Franco ('127 Hours') and gorgeous hotties Rachel Weisz ('The Fountain'), Michelle Williams ('Shutter Island') and Mila Kunis ('Black Swan').
"Oz, the Great and Powerful tells the tale of how a lost snake oil salesman and illusionist (Franco) defeats evil witches Theodora (Kunis) and Evanora (Weisz) with the help of their sister Gilda (Williams) to rule the land of Oz."
The shoot kicks off later this month in Michigan.
