Gary Ross is currently working on production of the ‘The Hunger Games’ which arrives next March. The first adaption in the eventual trilogy stars the beautiful Jennifer Lawrence -below (‘Winter’s Bone’), Elizabeth Banks (‘Slither’), Willow Shields, Stanley Tucci (‘The Lovely bones’), Woody Harrelson (‘Zombieland’), Toby Jones (‘The Mist’), Donald Sutherland (‘Don’t Look Now’) and Wes Bentley (‘P2’).
Lionsgate co-COO Joe Drake had this to say about the new franchise:
“The magical thing about the Hunger Games trilogy is that the books have such a vastly broad appeal. The stories truly offer something for everyone, and the period around the Thanksgiving weekend is such an opportunity for families and friends to make an event of going to the movies.”
‘The Hunger Games’ arrives on 23 March 2012.
