Rupert Wyatt’s ‘Rise of the Planet of the Apes’ is enjoying some box-office success over in the US at the moment. We expect the same thing will happen when the prequel hits UK theatres from tomorrow. So of course sequel talk is the order of the day and this is coupled with the release of two great new one-sheets. James Franco (‘127 Hours’) and Freida Pinto (‘Slumdog Millionaire’), John Lithgow (‘Dexter’), Brian Cox (‘The Ring’), Tom Felton (‘Harry Potter’) and Andy Serkis (‘King Kong’) all star in this evolution primate feature. Check out the new posters below and also what writer/producer Rick Jaffa had to say on the possibility of a sequel.
“We’re definitely teed up.” says Jaffa. “We feel very confident that there will be (a sequel), but at this point it’s still wait-and-see”.
“Set in present day San Francisco, the film is a reality-based cautionary tale, a science fiction/science fact blend, where man’s own experiments with genetic engineering lead to the development of intelligence in apes and the onset of a war for supremacy.”
