Lars Von Trier’s ‘Melancholia’ is an apparently beautiful movie about the end of the world. As with many of Trier’s projects we’re sure there will be elements of morality, artiness and compelling perplexicity. Some of which we can catch sight of in the newly released trailer for the apocalyptic vision from the Danish helmer. The movie stars Kirsten Dunst (who will be naked!), Charlotte Gainsbourg, Kiefer Sutherland (’24’, ‘Mirrors’), John Hurt (‘Alien’), Charlotte Rampling, Stellan Skarsgård, Alexander Skarsgård, Brady Corbet (‘Funny Games’), Jesper Christensen and Udo Kier. Check out the new trailer courtesy of Yahoo! Movies below.
“Justine and Michael are celebrating their marriage at a sumptuous party in the home of her sister and brother-in-law. Meanwhile, the planet, Melancholia, is heading towards Earth… MELANCHOLIA is a psychological disaster movie from director Lars von Trier.”
‘Melancholia’ will hit US theatres from 4 November.
