TATTOO TO HIT U.S
Continuing to bring some of the more interesting (and gruesome) foreign fare to U.S. shores, the American Cinematheque?s Vitagraph Films arm follows up its release of AUDITION with the German chiller TATTOO. Directed by Robert Schwentke, it stars Christian Redl and August Diehl (pictured) as detectives hunting down a serial killer who skins victims for their body art. The movie opens in Chicago June 13 at the Century Cinemas; Huntington, NY June 27 at the Cinema Arts Center; New York July 4 (delayed from an originally announced June 20 date) at the Cinema Village; LA July 11 at the NuArt; and July in Boston, exact date and venue to be announced. Schwentke, meanwhile, has already been signed to direct the Hollywood thrillers THE MAN WITH THE FOOTBALL and LABOR DAY, the latter starring Jet Li.
