Hasbro CEO Brian Goldner has confirmed that the Universal Pictures adaption of the popular game/toy ‘Ouija’ isn’t quite dead in the water yet. According to Goldner the script is having some retweaks and the likeliehood is that it’ll move to another studio with a trimmed budget. Scribes Simon Kinberg (‘Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter’) and Evan Spiliotopoulos (‘Snow White and the Huntsman’) have worked previously on the script but no word on who’s tidying it up currently. The project was all set up for McG to direct and Platinum Dunes to produce but that all seems to have now fallen through. Hasbro are enjoying quite the run of success recently mostly due to the success of the ‘Transformers’ franchise. Next year will see Peter Berg’s ‘Battleship’ arrive on the big screen and already feature developments for both ‘Stretch Armstrong’ and ‘Candyland’ are on the cards.
