It comes as no surprise following the records that its been breaking left, right and centre that AMC’s ‘The Walking Dead’ finds itself in the enviable position of a confirmed third season. AMC President Charlie Collier made the announcement that the series, based on the Image Comics graphic novel series by Robert Kirkman, would be returning for thrice the flesh-eating fun next year. Once again its a series that has had a lot of success and definitely has incredible faith from the network that its popularity won’t immediately decline following just a couple of episodes being aired thus far of the new season. Season 2 has already broke standard cable records and if you’re yet to keep up with the ongoign survival actions of Rick Grimes and the crew then you best sort it out! Andrew Lincoln (‘Love Actually’), Jon Bernthal, Michael Rooker (‘Slither’), Norman Reedus, Jeffrey DeMunn, Laurie Holden (‘Silent Hill’), Steven Yeun, Sarah Wayne Callies -below (‘Prison Break’), Pruitt Taylor Vince (‘Identity’) and Lauren Cohan (‘Supernatural’) all star in the new season now showing on AMC and FX.
“‘The Walking Dead’ follows a group of survivors, led by police officer Rick Grimes, who travel in search of a safe and secure home. The comic goes on to explore the challenges of life in a world overrun by zombies who take a toll on the survivors, and sometimes the interpersonal conflicts present a greater danger to their continuing survival than the zombies that roam the country. Over time, the characters are changed by the constant exposure to death and some grow willing to do anything to survive.”
‘The Walking Dead’ plays out on AMC across the US at 9/8c. The new series kicked off here in the UK last Friday night and will air every Friday from 10pm on FX.
