‘Shark Night 3D’ helmer David R Ellis is rumoured to be teaming up once again with the gorgeous Sara Paxton (‘The Innkeepers’) for more lakeside thrills in the ‘Briar Lake Murders’. The new thriller written by the trio of scribes Walter Jakubowski, David Nevarez and Neal Fischer currently has Ellis attached and won’t likely see a release until 2013. But with his current workload piling up it’ll be interesting to see if this attachment sticks. And Paxton back for more water-based thrills? With bikini-clad action in ‘Shark Night 3D’, swimming survival in ‘The Last House on the Left’ and even her mermaid exploits in ‘Aquamarine’ already under her swimsuit it certainly seems like the hot star is at home in the water and enjoys getting a bit wet from time to time. Check out the plot info for ‘Briar Lake Murders’ below and we’ll keep you posted on its progress in the coming months.
“A group of rude and insensitive city kids take a weekend vacation to Briar Lake, a picturesque town overlooking a beautiful lake, which to most outsiders would appear to be a peaceful small town. Having zero respect for anyone outside of their group, they are confronted by the hostile and eccentric residents. Following a bizarre experience in the town’s diner, they quickly retreat to the protection of their borrowed vacation lake house, where they plan to let loose and celebrate their weekend out of the city. After an unexpected visit from the local police, the long weekend is cut short. Two of the locals have been brutally murdered, and this group of “outsiders” become the prime suspects. When the string of murders spins out of control, the group must come together to unravel Briar Lake’s sordid past and uncover the hidden secrets. A vacation is always fun until you die!”
