Congratulations to Jessica Lange for her win as best supporting TV actress in Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk’s ‘American Horror Story’. It was thoroughly deserved for her role as Constance Langdon and now everyone just wants to know will she be returning for a second season!? A few actors from the first season have been rumoured to be returning to the potential follow-up series for FX, although will have to be content at playing different characters this time around. Sadly leads Connie Britton and Dylan McDermott will not be returning but Lange herself has shown interest. Lange has been speaking with Hollywood.com and you can check out what Lange had to say on her potential return below. So we should probably assume that a new season would deal with an entirely new ‘horror story’ starting fresh? It would be a bold move for a popular, and very well executed new show, but would be in keeping with the ‘uniqueness’ that ‘American Horror Story’ has offered its audience to date.
Here’s an excerpt from Lange’s interview:
“Yes, we are considering a second season. Nothing is definite yet…I know that everybody that is returning will be playing a different character.” Lange also voiced her appreciation for her work on the FX series: “I rarely see a script that excites me,” she said. “But with American Horror Story, every time we would get a new [script], they would have written something for me that was really exciting and challenging.”
