The final one-sheet for Gary Ross' 'The Hunger Games' has been unveiled. With just over 2 months until its release the new poster has arrived featuring an up close and personal shot of the films female lead Jennifer Lawrence ('X-Men: First Class'). Sadly however the shot of Miss Lawrence looks a little too touched up and she ends up appearing more like an action figure version of her character Katniss. The Lionsgate production is based on the first book in the sci-fi trilogy of novels penned by Suzanne Collins and will be released this coming March. Elizabeth Banks' ('Slither'), Woody Harrelson ('Zombieland'), Josh Hutcherson ('The Vampire's Assistant'), Liam Hemsworth ('Triangle'), Willow Shields, Stanley Tucci ('The Lovely Bones'), Toby Jones ('The Mist', 'St Trinian's) and Wes Bentley ('P2'). Check out the new poster below.

"Every year in the ruins of what was once North America, the nation of Panem forces each of its twelve districts to send a teenage boy and girl to compete in the Hunger Games. Part twisted entertainment, part government intimidation tactic, the Hunger Games are a nationally televised event in which “Tributes” must fight with one another until one survivor remains.

Pitted against highly-trained Tributes who have prepared for these Games their entire lives, Katniss is forced to rely upon her sharp instincts as well as the mentorship of drunken former victor Haymitch Abernathy. If she’s ever to return home to District 12, Katniss must make impossible choices in the arena that weigh survival against humanity and life against love."

'The Hunger Games' will open on 23 March 2012.
