That darn enthusiastic team behind the reboot, remake, retelling, reimagining (delete as applicable) of ‘The Evil Dead’ look like they may well score another fresh-faced cast member to join their terrifying cabin antics on the Ghost House and Mandate Pictures project under the watchful eye of helmer Fede Alvarez. Lou Taylor Pucci -below (‘Carriers’) is in negotations for the role of Eric – an academic whose intellectual curiosity gets him and his friends into trouble. Filming takes place in New Zealand and Pucci would be joining Shiloh Fernandez (‘Red Riding Hood’) and Jane Levy (‘Suburgatory’).
“In this retelling, five friends (David, Natalie, Eric, Olivia, and Mia) hole up at a remote cabin where they discover a Book of the Dead. A demonic force is unleashed possessing each until only one is left to fight for survival.”
‘The Evil Dead’ will amaze or disappoint audiences from 12 April 2013.
