Way back in 2008 we were hearing all sorts of whispers about a potential sequel being prepped to follow-up the Will Smith action horror ‘I Am Legend’. Well now it finally looks to be moving forward with Smith on board in both a starring and producing capacity. The Hollywood Reporter have revealed that Arash Amel has been signed up to pen the sequel. Smith is involved in an entire stack of other potential sequels including ‘Hancock 2’, ‘I, Robot 2’, ‘Bad Boys 3’ and of course Barry Sonnenfeld’s ‘Men in Black III’ due for release this May so perhaps things are financially tight at the Smith household this year. At one stage rumours were that any follow-up would have been a prequelisation more so than an actual sequel especially due to the fact that Smith’s character Dr. Robert Neville didn’t survive the original.
