DIMENSION FILMS TAP MALCOLM LEE TO DIRECT DAVID ZUCKER'S 'SCARY MOVIE 5'

Director Malcolm Lee ('Undercover Brother') has been tapped to helm the next installment in the spoof horror franchise 'Scary Movie 5' for Dimension Films. According to EW production is slated for this Summer. Casting is underway but there's no word yet as to whether they'll be snagging back returning players Anna Faris (below), Regina Hall, Kevin Hart and/or Anthony Anderson. Spoof expert David Zucker is back on board to help co-write and produce. Zucker previously worked on 'Scary Movie 3' and 'Scary Movie 4' which were passable mostly due to the appearance of the late Leslie Nielson. Let's just hope he can find at least some slight return to form to the good old days of 'Airplane!' and 'The Naked Gun' series.
