'GREMLINS' ACTOR ZACH GALLIGAN SCORES SHERIFF ROLE IN 'HATCHET III'

'Gremlins' star Zach Galligan is set to join the cast of Adam Green's 'Hatchet III' sequel. The 48-year old actor whose last horror role was on board Wes Sullivan's supernatural chiller 'Nightbeasts' will play the part of Sheriff Fowler in the upcoming third chapter alongside returning players Danielle Harris ('Among Friends') and Kane Hodder. Galligan also joins fellow cast members Caroline Williams ('The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Part 2'), Sean Whalen ('Lost', 'Idle Hands'), Diane Goldner, Jason Trost and Derek Mears ('Friday the 13th'). The next installment about the life and crimes of serial killer Victor Crowley will be helmed by BJ McDonnell from a script penned by franchise creator Green and will shoot in Louisiana.
