We’ve gone beneath, escaped, conquested, battled and returned on several occasions to the ‘Planet of the Apes’ and now the previously announced sequel to 2011’s sci-fi action prequel ‘Rise of the Planet of the Apes’ has received its official title. Twentieth Century Fox have revealed that the proposed follow-up to be once again helmed by Brit director Rupert Wyatt and scripted by Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver will be called ‘Dawn of the Planet of the Apes’. In additon to this an an achingly early official release date of 23 May 2014 has been revealed. And where there are digital apes running around we’re bound to see Brit actor Andy Serkis (‘Lord of the Rings’, ‘King Kong’) – the king of monkey motion capture – return to the fray.
