AUSSIE STAR ABBIE CORNISH TO LAND WIFE ROLE IN 'ROBOCOP' REBOOT

Jose Padhila's sci-fi remake of 'RoboCop' looks to be chasing another new cast member and this time in the shapely form of sexy Aussie star Abbie Cornish -below ('Limitless'). The 29-year old actress who starred as Sweet Pea in Zack Snyder's 'Sucker Punch' is in negotiations to play the role of 'RoboCop's wife in the reboot alongside the already cast Joel Kinnaman ('The Darkest Hour') who'll play Murphy, the futuristic cyborg with deep-set memories of his former human past. Gary Oldman ('The Dark Knight Rises') and Samuel L. Jackson ('Avengers Assemble') are also set to star. The talented Cornish can next be seen alongside Colin Farrell ('Total Recall'), Woody Harrelson and Sam Rockwell ('The Green Mile') in the Martin McDonagh comedy 'Seven Psychopaths' which currently sits in post-production.

'RoboCop' will open from 9 August 2013.
