At the beginning of the week news landed that Korean parasite horror feast 'Deranged' was heading across the seas to the US from 27 July at a whole bunch of selected theatres (check the related news links below). Now we end the week on a more visual note by bringing you the new trailer for the Park Jung-woo helmed feature which has made quite a splash over in its native country. The Korean trailer, which doesn't feature subtitles, features Kim Myung-Min, Mun Jung-Hee, Kim Dong-Wan and the sexy Miss Korea Lee Honey (below) who are all on board and if you head below you can read the synopsis, gander at the poster and then view the trailer.
"Just before dawn, gruesomely skeletal bodies surface on the Han River. More bodies are discovered all over the nation. The cause of death is determined to be a mutated parasite worm that brainwashes its hosts, ultimately making them jump into bodies of water and to their death. Further research indicates that the worms have only a short incubation period and upon 100% fatality rate causes mass general panic.
As number of victims rapidly increase, the government sets up an Emergency Response Task Force and puts all infected citizens into quarantine. However, the infected people, desperate under the influence of the parasite, penetrate the quarantine area and jump into the water, drowning themselves. Meanwhile, pharmaceutical company salesman Jae-hyeok realizes that his family is infected, and becomes desperate to find the cure. In doing so, he uncovers a frightening conspiracy behind the infection."
