RYAN MURPHY REVEALS 'AMERICAN HORROR STORY' SEASON 2'S SUITABLE SUBTITLE

Production on the all-change second season of 'American Horror Story' is well underway and because of its new characters, new location and just a completely different story to that of the first season it would be a good idea to somehow seperate the two seasons even further don't you think? Luckily creator Ryan Murphy has the same idea and has opted to give the upcoming season 2 a new subtitle to help reflect its new setting and theme. 'American Horror Story: Asylum' will be what the new FX season is referred to as. "We picked Asylum because it not only describes the setting - an insane asylum run by Jessica Lange's character which was formerly a tuberculosis ward - but also signifies a place of haven for the unloved and the unwanted," said Murphy. "This year's theme is about sanity and tackling real life horrors." James Cromwell ('LA Confidential'), Joseph Fiennes ('FlashForward'), Chloe Sevigny, Chris Zylka ('Shark Night 3D', 'Piranha 3DD'), Mark Consuelos, Lizzie Brochere, Franka Potente ('Creep') and Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine are all newcomers to the show joining returning stars each taking on brand new roles.

'American Horror Story: Asylum' arrives on our screens this coming October.
