If we had a quid for every bizarre, twisted, yet smile-inducing marketing prop that is shoved into our post box every morning we’d all happily retire and live out the remainder of our lives on a tropical island somehwere in the South Pacific. Well today folks is no different as a more that interesting package landed on my desk in the shape of a large box with a ‘Perishable’ label slapped along the side. Like an excited kid at Christmas I immediately broke it open to find inside an organ transplant bag. After my initial disappointment of not finding a still beating heart inside what we did see was a special promo book for A&E’s new special two night TV event ‘Coma’. The re-adaption based on the novel by the late Michael Crichton stars Lauren Ambrose (‘Six Feet Under’), Steven Pasquale (‘Rescue Me’), Richard Dreyfuss (‘Jaws’), Ellen Burstyn (‘Requiem For A Dream’), Geena Davis and James Woods (‘Videodrome’). British filmmaking brothers Ridley Scott (‘Prometheus’) and Tony Scott (‘Deja Vu’, ‘Unstoppable’) both produce.
‘Coma’ will premiere in the US on 3 September at 9:00pm ET/PT.
