Entertainment Weekly have sent AHS fans into absolute overload this afternoon. They’ve premiered their latest cover story and it features a whole bunch of awesome new stuff from the upcoming second season of FX’s freaky follow-up series ‘American Horror Story’. And finally we get a good look at just some of the main players in the latest season set in a mental institution. And arriving hand in hand with the 10 new character pics comes the 10th new teaser trailer entitled ‘Bandages’. Each of the character pics are detailed in the latest magazine and feature Jessica Lange as Sister Jude the sadistic nun, Zachary Quinto as forward-thinking psychiatrist Dr. Thredson, James Cromwell as potential Nazi Dr. Arden, Lily Rabe as Sister Eunice, Joseph Fiennes as Monsignor Timothy O’Hara, Adam Levine and Jenna Dewan Tatum as newlywed couple Leo and Teresa, Sarah Paulson as lesbian journalist Lana, Chloe Sevigny’s nymphomaniac character Shelley and Evan Peters as the alien-abducted(!?) Kit. Phew. Head below for the rest of the goodies and the cover art.
“Every year of the show is a different miniseries, and there will be several chapters,” says co-creator Ryan Murphy. “You need as your leading man or leading lady an institution to haunt.” Adds co-creator Brad Falchuk, “To me, last year was a family drama. This is our version of a workplace drama.”
This particular workplace is run by a wickedly stern nun named Sister Jude (Jessica Lange), who is surrounded by a cast of characters ranging from a possible former Nazi, Dr. Arden (James Cromwell), to nymphomaniac patient Shelley (Chloe Sevigny). But Sister Jude is also quite a troubled woman with a dark past that will resurface.
