THE LONE GUNMAN FEATURED ON NEW OFFICIAL POSTER FOR 'THE WALKING DEAD'

Next month sees the arrival of the third season of hit AMC horror series 'The Walking Dead'. And creeping up on us in the last 24 hours is the newly released official poster artwork for the said third season. Andrew Lincoln ('Love Actually') as Rick Grimes features on his lonesome on the striking new one-sheet which you can check out below. Laurie Holden ('Silent Hill'), Steven Yeun, Sarah Wayne Callies ('Prison Break'), Lauren Cohan ('Supernatural'), Danai Gurira and David Morrissey all star in the new season. The fun kicks off on Sunday 14 October at 9pm ET/PT. The first 8 episodes will run week to week then following a mid-season break will return with the final 8 episodes next February.

"'The Walking Dead' follows a group of survivors, led by police officer Rick Grimes, who travel in search of a safe and secure home. The comic goes on to explore the challenges of life in a world overrun by zombies who take a toll on the survivors, and sometimes the interpersonal conflicts present a greater danger to their continuing survival than the zombies that roam the country. Over time, the characters are changed by the constant exposure to death and some grow willing to do anything to survive."
