The first official trailer for director Joseph Kosinski’s (‘TRON: Legacy’) latest sci-fi project ‘Oblivion’ has arrived featuring all the expected sequences of Tom Cruise jumping around doing what he does best. The new visually appealing trailer looks pretty decent although scarily appears to reflect certain plot points first featured in Pixar’s award-winning animation flick ‘Wall-E’. Nevertheless we hope that the movie based on the comic book by helmer Kosinski and Arvid Nelson will be anything but. French stunner Olga Kurylenko -below (‘Quantum of Solace’) co-stars with Cruise and the hot on-screen couple are joined by Morgan Freeman (‘Seven’), Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (‘Game of Thrones’), Melissa Leo (‘Red State’), Zoe Bell (‘Death Proof’, ‘Raze’), Dane Cook (‘Detention’) and Andrea Riseborough (‘Brighton Rock’) all co-star. Head below for the new trailer.
“A battle-damaged soldier who, assigned to a desolate planet after a court-martial, patrols the bleak landscape in an effort to destroy the last vestiges of a primitive alien race. When a mysterious traveler arrives unexpectedly, their lives become inextricably linked as they are forced to question everything they know about this world and themselves.”
‘Oblivion’ is set to hit theatres on 12 April 2013.
