Whilst British director Ben Wheatley’s (‘Kill List’) latest offering ‘Sightseers’ continues to be praised during its current UK theatrcial run the filmmaker is hard at work on his next horror feature ‘A Field in England’. A new simplistic teaser poster for the project has been revealed by Twitch featuring a rework of the first official pic which premiered here a few weeks back. The artwork also features a ‘Coming MMXIII’ (AKA 2013) message which gives a real retro and oddly ominous feel to it. Julian Barratt (‘The Mighty Boosh’), Reece Shearsmith (‘The League of Gentlemen’, ‘The Cottage’), Peter Ferdinando, Ryan Pope, Richard Glover and Michael Smiley (‘Spaced’) all star. Check out the new poster below.
“In the war-torn English countryside in 1648, a small group of deserters flee the raging battle through an overgrown field. They are captured and forced to help one of their captors in his search to find hidden treasure he believes is buried in the field. The group descends into a chaos of arguments, fighting, and paranoia, and as it becomes clear that the treasure might be something other than gold, they gradually become victim to the terrifying energies trapped inside the field.”
