It’s taken over two years to get to this stage but the sequel to 2009’s supernatural thriller ‘The Haunting in Connecticut’ will finally be unleashed early next year. What was previously, and more succinctly, known as ‘The Haunting in Georgia’ the Tom Elkins helmed horror follow-up has now become ‘The Haunting in Connecticut 2: Ghosts of Georgia’. Which apart from being a bit overkill in the title length department doesn’t make a lick of sense particularly as the action has crossed states from Connecticut to Georgia? So why the tie-in? Maybe as it’s taken so long to get the project into theatres audiences need a reminder of the 3 year old original. It will get a limited run and same day VOD release in North America from 1 February. The sequel stars Chad Michael Murray (‘House of Wax’), Abigail Spencer and Katee Sackhoff. Head below to check out the new one-sheet poster plus trailer!
“A young family’s nightmarish descent into a centuries-old Southern hell. When Andy Wyrick (Chad Michael Murray) moves his wife Lisa (Abigail Spencer) and daughter Heidi to an historic home in Georgia, they quickly discover they are not the house’s only inhabitants. Joined by Lisa’s free-spirited sister, Joyce (Katee Sackhoff), the family soon comes face-to-face with a bone-chilling mystery born of a deranged desire…a haunting secret rising from underground and threatening to bring down anyone in its path.”
