Whilst we all wait eagerly for Guillermo Del Toro’s action sci-fi flick ‘Pacific Rim’ to hit theatres this July we are today welcomed by potential casting news for Del Toro’s future horror project ‘Crimson Peak’. Variety has it that the ever gorgeous and talented Emma Stone -below (‘Zombieland’, ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’) is in talks to join the spooky horror tale which is set to start shooting this time next year. Del Toro and co-writer Lucinda Coxon have rewritten the original script penned by both Del Toro himself plus Matthew Robbins. The project will, according to the director, be “very set-oriented, classical but at the same time modern take on the ghost story.”
Stone, who was recently reunited with ‘Zombieland’ helmer Ruben Fleischer on crime thriller ‘Gangster Squad’, would of course be a welcome lead in the new movie and will see the actress finally get her teeth into a proper scary horror movie role…because let’s face it ‘Zombieland’ and ‘Ghosts of Girlfriends Past’ don’t count!
