In spite of Aussie director Kimble Rendall switching sharks for spiders in the newly announced 3D horror flick ‘The Nest 3D’ his supermarket based shark attack movie ‘Bait 3D’ is still being sequelised. Announced a few months back the second helping of shark-based shennanigans is yet to be determined yet alone score a director or indeed cast but for now we can take a gander at the first piece of teaser art from the project, courtesy of Dread Central. The next installment will revolve around an unexpected tsunami hitting the streets of LA bringing a 15-foot Great White Shark along with it. Which sounds annoyingly close to the plot of Anthony C. Ferrante’s upcoming ‘Dark Skies’ (title TBC) with Tara Reid (‘American Pie’) which sees a flood hit LA and subsequent shark attacks occurring all round town. The follow-up will come from Darclight Films, whom have only just confirmed Rendall’s involvement in their new 3D spider movie as mentioned. Check the plot and teaser art below.
“It’s just another perfect day in the City of Angels. That is, until a three-mile long, 100-foot tsunami completely obliterates Los Angeles, not only destroying it, but effectively wiping it from the map. However, for five students in a private school, on detention and missing out on a class trip, they turn out to be the lucky ones…
…or are they?
Because before the day is through, they will have to battle a tidal wave, the elements, each other, atershocks, and, worst of all, a 15-foot Great White Shark that has decided to make the school they are trapped in its new hunting ground. With the water constantly rising, fraying tempers, nowhere for them to go, and one of nature’s perfect sea creatures actively pursuing them, they are about to be taught a lesson in survival.”
