Dallas Hallam and Patrick Horvath ('Entrance') are set to begin shooting on their follow-up to Nicholas McCarthy's 'The Pact'. The sequel simply titled 'The Pact II' (shocking!) has snagged the British born and down right hot 'Californication' and 'True Blood' star Camilla Luddington (below) for the lead role. Luddington, who currently appears as Jo Wilson is ABC's hit medical drama 'Grey's Anatomy', also voices Lara Croft in the newest 'Tomb Raider' video game. The actress is set to play the role of June Abbott in 'The Pact II', an L.A. woman tormented by a string of violent dreams in which people are slaughtered by a killer named Judas. Things only get worse when she starts to see the murders from the killer's P.O.V. Check out the full plot breakdown below.

Get your Friday funnies from this new clip taken directly from Seth Rogen's latest comical venture into the apocalypse. 'This is the End' opens in the US on 12 June and here in the UK from 28 June and I'm sure it's hoping to  trump Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg's upcoming 'The World's End' in the post-apocalyptic laugh stakes. This new feature which stars Rogen and his buddies as twisted versions of theirselves all appear in the new clip which sees Emma Watson -below ('Harry Potter') join the gang boarded up and surviving against the mysterious events occuring outside those very walls. Jay Baruchel ('She's Out of My League'), James Franco ('Oz: The Great and Powerful'), Jonah Hill ('Superbad') and Craig Robinson ('Hot Tub Time Machine') also star. Check out the new clip below.

Image Entertainment have snagged ahold of Julian Richards' ('The Last Horror Movie', 'Summer Scars') latest horror outing 'Shiver'. Well, we say latest but the project has in fact been sitting on the shelf for quite a while now. Still, the project based upon the 1992 serial killer novel by Brian Harper of the same name is finally going to get its much deserved release in the near future. The Cyclone Production stars Casper Van Dien ('The Pact'), John Jarratt ('Wolf Creek 2') and the ever gorgeous modern day scream queen Danielle Harris -below ('Hatchet III'). Paramount Home Media have acquired new found footage comedy horror 'Ghost Team One' for worldwide distribution. The project from co-directors Ben Peyser and Scott Rutherford follows a couple of roommates who, after falling for a girl who believes their house is haunted by a vengeful madame, set out to make a documentary that ultimately uncovers not just a decades-old murder but a ghost that appears to be into them. Penned by Andrew Knauer and Arthur Pielli and starring Carlos Santos, J.R. Villarreal, Tony Cavalero, Meghan Falcone, James Babson and Craig Stott the project was picked up following its premiere at Slamdance. 'Ghost Team One' was produced by Flying Monkeys Entertainment and Foresight Entertainment.

Memento Films International are ramping up a new prequel and a sequel to Jim Mickle's upcoming remake of 'We Are What We Are'. Yup, without the English-language redo even gracing theatres yet it seems a planned trilogy of sorts is high on the agenda giving tremendous faith in Mickle's project which screen's during this week Cannes festival. The prequel is set to be named 'What We Were' and will be directed by Finnish helmer AJ Annila and penned by Nick Damici ('Stake Land'). The project will begin shooting in 2014. The upcoming remake stars Kelly McGillis, Odeya Rush, Ambyr Childers, Michael Parks ('Red State'), Wyatt Russell, Julia Garner and Bill Sage. 'We Are What We Are' is based on the original Mexican cannibalistic horror thriller 'Somos lo que hay' from writer/director Jorge Michel Grau which was released back in 2010. Grau himself will tackle the planned sequel.

'Rapture-Palooza' is the new comedy horror feature from 'Seperation City' director Paul Middleditch. It seems 2013 is the year for humourous sideways views of the apocalypse and 'Rapture-Palooza' is no different. Although the new one-sheet that has just been revealed is painfully unfunny and is greatly reminiscent of the poster for Harold Ramis's 2000 comedy redo 'Bedazzled'. Still, there's a whole host of comedy talent on the cards including Craig Robinson ('Hot Tub Time Machine'), Rob Corddry ('Warm Bodies'), Ken Jeong ('The Hangover'), Tyler Labine ('Tucker and Dale vs Evil') and Paul Scheer ('Piranha 3DD'). The sexy Anna Kendrick -below ('Up in the Air') and John Francis Daley play a couple left behind during the heavenly rapture only to end up living alongside the Devil. Robinson also stars in Seth Rogen's upcoming end of the world comedy feature 'This is the End'. Check out the new artwork below.

Following on from the announcement that 'Maniac' redo director Franck Khalfoun is already lining up another new mysterious thriller project a brand new piece of teaser art and a message from the director himself have arisen. 'I-Lived' centers on a young online app reviewer whose latest assignment mysteriously improves his life, but also starts to tear him apart. The project will be pushed out at Cannes this week and the new smartphone based teaser art (shown below) comes complete with a QR code allowing you to download a special message from Khalfoun. Which you can also view below. Khalfoun also penned the script and the project is set to start shooting at the end of this month.

Craig Zobel's post-apocalyptic thriller 'Z for Zachariah' has managed to score a trio of talent to fill the boots of three leading characters in the adaptation. The story is based on the original sci-fi novel by author Robert C. O'Brien and 'Star Trek into Darkness' hero Chris Pine, the excellent Brit actor Chiwetel Ejiofor ('2012') and the stunningly gorgeous Amanda Seyfried -below ('Red Riding Hood') have all taken roles. Craig Zobel ('Compliance') will helm from a script penned by Nissar Modi based on O'Brien's original novel and production is set to be underway by this coming August. Tobey Maguire ('Spider-Man'), who was once set to star, will produce the project under Material Pictures production company.

Here we have a new red band clip from upcoming survival thriller 'Black Rock'. The project directed, co-written and starring Katie Aselton is set to hit a limited selection of theatres from tomorrow and involves a trio of girl friends whom take to a small island only to find theirselves fighting for their lives against 3 angry ex-servicemen with 'hunting' on their agenda. The new clip reveals that these 'so-called' friends may not be the only problems they'll have to face during their time on the island. Following on from the two new stills revealed yesterday by Magnet Releasing a brand spanking new red band trailer for found footage anthology follow-up 'V/H/S/2' has landed. With Simon Barrett, Adam Wingard, Edúardo Sanchez ('The Blair Witch Project'), Gregg Hale, Timo Tjahjanto, Gareth Huw Evans and Jason Eisener ('Hobo With a Shotgun') all lending their talents to the project and bringing together another disturbing collection of horror tales the newest trailer certainly looks to up the stakes. It features a whole array of unidentified creatures, nastiness, blood, toplessness, suicides, exploding bodies and alien invasion. 'V/H/S/2' is release on VOD on 6 June in the US and will follow up with a 12 June release across select cities. Check out the new NSFW trailer below.

'Intruders' and '28 Weeks Later' director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo is set to helm the new psychological thriller 'Villain' for Start Motion Pictures. The feature, penned and exec produced by Josh Zetumer ('Robocop'), will star Shia LaBeouf -below ('Nyphomanic') as one of two brothers both whom "mysteriously re-connect in an unforgiving wilderness." How's that for vague?  Ben Browning, Sarah Shepard and Jeremy Kipp Walker from Start Motion will be producing with Zetumer and Michael Maher both serving as executive producers. 'V/H/S/2' is readying its 6 June VOD release and its subsequent and limited 12 July theatrical run over in the US so in the meantime we have to make do with various assets popping up around the interweb. Dread Central have exclusively unveiled a couple of new stills from the upcoming found footage follow-up which tease us even more into what to expect from each of the featured segments. The directorial talent behind the sequel are Simon Barrett, Adam Wingard, Edúardo Sanchez ('The Blair Witch Project'), Gregg Hale, Timo Tjahjanto, Gareth Huw Evans and Jason Eisener ('Hobo With a Shotgun'). What at first glance looks to be an Italian sauce is in fact the new upcoming thriller from Mark Tonderai ('House at the End of the Street'). 'Peste', scripted by Barbara Marshall, is another virus outbreak thriller which according to Screen Daily will be the first chapter in a planned trilogy. The word peste appears to refer to the infectious and potentially fatal bacteria Yersinia pestis which infects animals (commonly rodents) and humans. The virus in this movie is said to wipe out the majority of the human population. 'Zombieland' and 'The Call' star Abigail Breslin (below) has been snapped up to star in the movie. Breslin is set to play the lead described as "a teen who documents her family's new life in quarantine and tries to protect her infected sister."

A new Instagrammed image celebrating the upcoming end of year event that is the release of sci-fi action follow-up 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire' has been spotted. The new poster features once more the glorious Jennifer Lawrence ('Silver Linings Playbook') donned up as Katniss Everdeen and giving her best 'legendary' pose perching aloft a mountain top. Even the cloud formations behind play a part in giving Katniss her overblown prodigious status. Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Sam Clafin, Elizabeth Banks ('Slither'), Woody Harrelson ('Seven Psychopaths'), Philip Seymour Hoffman ('Red Dragon'), Jena Malone ('The Ruins'), Stanley Tucci, Donald Sutherland ('Don't Look Now'), Toby Jones ('The Mist') and Lenny Kravitz all co-star. Not to be confused with the long lost George Bessudo supernatural project of the same name which was set to star Amy Smart and Laura Ramsey instead this is the found footage time travel feature from director Ringan Ledwidge. 'Glimmer' is the new Dreamworks project in development which Ledwidge will helm from a script penned by scribe Carter Blanchard. The studio have announced their leading star who will be Jeremy Allen White -below ('Shameless') who is set to do a little bit of time skipping. Steven Spielberg ('Jurassic Park') is reportedly said to be 'supervising' the project. Platinum Dunes are also currently working on a found footage styled time travel thriller entitled 'Almanac'. So we guess it's a race to see who can get theirs into theatres first. Check out the plot details below.

Following the acquisition of new Hammer horror 'The Quiet Ones' by Lionsgate UK a few months back the studios' American counterpart has carried out exactly the same buy up at this months Cannes festival. Lionsgate have picked up the North American distribution rights for the John Pogue ('Quarantine 2: Terminal') helmed chiller which stars Jared Harris ('Mad Men'), Sam Claflin ('The Hunger Games: Catching Fire'), Erin Richards ('Being Human'), Rory Fleck-Byrne and Olivia Cooke ('Bates Motel'). So that's the good news, however, you'll have to sit patiently now until 25 April 2014 before it'll be appearing in US theatres.

If you love the likes of horror classics such as 'Pet Semetary' and 'Re-Animator' then there's a good chance that Lionsgate's new horror project 'Reawakening' will be right up your street. The Hollywood Reporter have bought news of the new feature from director David Gelb ('Jiro Dreams of Sushi') which will see both Mark Duplass ('Zero Dark Thirty') and one of the hottest actresses in Hollywood at the moment...literally...Olivia Wilde -below ('TRON: Legacy') both lead. Based on a script by Luke Dawson and Jeremy Slater the flick will center on a research team that discovers a way to bring the dead to life. When the lead doctor's daughter dies, she is given the serum, which leads to horrifying results.

Writer/director Mike Cahill's new drama sci-fi offering 'I Origins' has moved into post-production and has a whole host of talent in the mix to tell his latest high concept tale. This is Cahill's directorial follow-up to his highly praised project 'Another Earth' from back in 2011. 'Another Earth' starred William Mapother ('Lost') and co-writer Brit Marling ('Sound of My Voice') who are both back working with Cahill on 'I Origins'. Michael Pitt ('Funny Games'), Steven Yeun ('The Walking Dead'), Archie Panjabi, Cara Seymour and the gorgeous French model turned actress Astrid Bergčs-Frisbey -below ('Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides') also star. Writer/director Stuart Beattie's adaptation of Kevin Grievous' popular graphic novel 'I, Frankenstein' has been victim recently of the dreaded date bumping and has ended up with a January 2014 release. However, optimists out there will simply see the extended wait as a longer period of time to receive assets and marketing materials galore. Which begins today with a look at a new motion poster from the project featuring star Aaron Eckhart ('The Dark Knight'). Bill Nighy ('Shaun of the Dead'), Aden Young, Socratis Otto ('Gone'), Miranda Otto ('Locke and Key') and Yvonne Strahovski ('Dexter') also star. Although it's being touted as a piece of art "inspired" by the recent 'Evil Dead' remake it looks more like a lazy attempt to rip-off and subconsciously assimilate itself to a successful horror movie. Well 'Wolf Creek 2' has unveiled some new sales artwork set to be seen at this months Cannes film festival and has happily done just this. The poster features Mick Taylor (played by John Jarratt) who returns for more outback mayhem in the Australian sequel which sees 'Wolf Creek' writer/director Greg Mclean follow-up. Flesh-eating squirrels? Ok, stick with it...'Squirrels' is the new project acquired from Bazelevs, the company that talented Russian filmmaker Timur Bekmambetov ('Night Watch', Wanted') is behind. Red Sea Media bought up the international rights tot he project and are currently shopping around for a director and an A-list cast. The flick will come from a script penned by co-writers Daniel Antoniazzi and Ben Shiffrin and is based on an original idea by Bekmambetov himself. Along with the announcement comes a cool piece of early teaser art featuring a hungry little fella and humourous strapline which you can check out below. Interesting that there's no mention whatsoever of Bekmambetov's most recent effort 'Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter' on the poster. Something which perhaps doesn't hold as much cache as his past projects. Check it out.

Argentinian director Tamae Garateguy's latest project 'She Wolf' (AKA 'Mujer lobo') is set to seduce audiences. And after checking out the sexually active and NSFW trailer for the new project it'll certainly be bringing viewers a South American feature with plenty of butt as well as bite. Garateguy helms from a script provided by Diego Fleischer and it stars a trio of vicious lovelies played by Luján Ariza, Guadalupe Docampo and Mónica Lairana shown featured below all cuddled up in the nude. In the latter part of his acting career it seems Nicolas Cage ('Season of the Witch', 'Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance') more often than not gets attracted towards movies with a slight unusualness to them. Projects with a supernatural/sci-fi theme built in definitely appear to appeal to him. That definitely goes for Kellie Madison's ('Dear Mr Gacy') new upcoming project 'Hotel 33'. Cage (below)has signed up to star in the new mystery thriller project based on a true story which Madison will both write and direct. Rob Corddry ('Hot Tub Time Machine') and Leslie Bibb ('7500') star an an expecting couple in new horror-comedy 'Hell Baby'. The new project from 'Reno 911' co-creators Thomas Lennon and Robert Ben Garant is set to hit VOD and have a limited theatrical run stateside this coming Fall/Autumn. A new simplistic teaser one-sheet has been revealed for the feature giving us a peek at the 'Hell Baby' resting, and what appears to be rocking, inside his mommy's belly. Rob Huebel ('The Descendants'), Paul Scheer ('Piranha 3DD'), Riki Lindhome ('The Last House on the Left'), Keegan-Michael Key ('Key and Peele') as well as Lennon and Garan also star.
