LIFETIME DEVELOPING 'THE OMEN' INTO NEW TV SHOW 'DAMIEN'

Posted: 20 May, 2014 at 13:17 PM GMT
Lifetime Developing 'The Omen' into New TV Show 'Damien'

Lifetime are preparing a new horror series based on Richard Donner's 1976 classic 'The Omen'. The show entitled 'Damien' will focus on the adult Damien who will serve as the main protagonist as he comes to grips with his "demonic destiny". 'The Walking Dead's ex-showrunner Glen Mazarra will serve as an executive producer as well as writing the show. 'The Omen' was followed up in 1978 and then in 1981 with 'Damien: Omen II' and 'Omen III: The Final Conflict' respectively with Sam Neill ('Jurassic Park') taking the role of the grown up Damien Thorn in the third entry. It wasn't until 1991 that a 'Omen IV: The Awakening' was released as a TV movie moving the demonic focus from the now dead Damien to a young girl instead. We assume the action from the new series will take place somewhere in between the two unless it'll be taking a more contemporary 'Bates Motel'-like route.

CARLTON CUSE AND A&E TO BRING US 'THE RETURNED' US REMAKE

Posted: 30 April, 2014 at 12:59 PM GMT
Carlton Cuse and A&E to Bring us 'The Returned' US Remake

Ok let's recap. 'The Returned' (AKA 'Les Revenants') is a French horror series from Fabrice Gobert, which in turn is based upon Robin Campillo's 2004 French movie 'They Came Back'. ABC's 'Resurrection', although extremely similar in its premise, is based upon the novel 'The Returned' by American author Jason Mott. So if you're still following then A&E have thrown another hat into the mix by ordering a new 10-part US remake based of 'Les Revenants'. I really don't think US networks give their American audiences much credit whatsoever when it comes ot foreign imports.  The original French series (which will continue later this year) is such a fantastic piece of TV which is incredibly compelling and flawlessly acted why a remake even needs to be considered is beyond me. Instead of plugging money into an unnecessary redo how about reeducating audiences instead. 'Bates Motel' showrunner Carlton Cuse ('Lost') has penned the first episode and wil co-produce along with Raelle Tucker ('True Blood').

The sexy Eiza Gonzalez has been the main focus of all the recent marketing moves for the upcoming episode of the El Rey Networks' 'From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series'. The 24-year old Gonzalez (below) has the unenviable task of recreating the iconic and ultra hot performance of Satanico Pandemonium enjoyed by many of us when it first appeared in Robert Rodriguez 1996 original feature. And now Arrow have exclusively previewed the clip of Miss Gonzalez giving her all in the scene where Satanico is introduced to the awaiting crowd making sure that her slithery on-screen partner fills in all the sexual suggestive gaps. It was Mexican hottie Salma Hayek who gave the sensual performance of her life in the Twitty Twister in the 1996 original and recreating it was obviously going to no mean feat. What do you guys think? Check it out below.
