Following weeks full of early 'Dexter' teasers and promos we're finally hit with the official trailer which features plenty of new footage from the final upcoming season. The new trailer reveals quite a lot, not overly spoilerish but enough I guess to ruin the whole mystique of the final season. Bethany Joy Lenz ('One Tree Hill'), Rhys Coiro ('Straw Dogs'), Charlotte Rampling ('Melancholia'), Nick Gomez ('Looper'), Sean Patrick Flanery ('Saw 3D') all join the forthcoming season. Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter are back one last time alongside the usual rabble whilst the sexy Yvonne Strahovski ('I, Frankenstein') will also return. The final season of Showtime's 'Dexter' kicks off on the network on 30 June at 9/8c.

With the sixth series of 'True Blood' merely weeks away now from our screens a fresh teaser one-sheet has been revealed by HBO hinting strongly at a possible major vampiric death in the new season. The show returns on the network from 16 June with plenty of blood and sex to keep even the most hardened sceptic interested. Luke Grimes ('Taken 2'), Amelia Rose Blaire ('90210'), Jurnee Smollett ('Friday Night Light'), Karolina Wydra ('House'), Arliss Howard, Rutger Hauer ('Hobo with a Shotgun') and Anna Camp ('The Good Wife') are all on board the new season joining alongside returning players Anna Paquin ('Scream 4'), Stephen Moyer, Ryan Kwanten and Alexander Skarsgard ('Battleship, 'Straw Dogs'). "The El Rey Network is going to be the home of kick-ass entertainment". Not my words but the words of talented filmmaker Robert Rodriguez. El Ray is the name of his new English-language cable network which will be debuting later this year on Comcast. And it appears that a franchise which has been away from our screens for some time will be making a reappearance in a TV format. 'From Dusk Till Dawn', the action horror flick directed by Rodriguez back in 1996 and co-penned by buddy Quentin Tarantino, is set to emerge onto our small screens as a new series set to premiere on the new network. The movie, which starred George Clooney and Tarantino as the Gecko brothers fighting against viscious South of the Border vamps, spawned two less successful sequels back in 1999.

'American Horror Story: Coven', the third season in the hit FX horror series, is under production in New Orleans prepping for its October 2013 premiere. And already with an impressive female line-up in this 'witch'-related season another couple of talented ladies have joined the series for unspecified roles. Angela Bassett -below ('Olympus Has Fallen') and Patti LuPone ('Summer of Sam') have signed on to co-star along with Jessica Lange, Lily Rabe, Taissa Farmiga, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters and Frances Conroy who all return for new roles in this third installment. They'll be joined by series newcomers Kathy Bates ('Titanic') and Gabourey Sidibe ('Precious').

'Dexter' looks over his ghoulish gallery in this new teaser for Showtime's finale season. The Hollywood Reporter have revealed the new promo which asks if the loveable serial killer's legacy is monsterous or a masterpiece. Bethany Joy Lenz ('One Tree Hill'), Rhys Coiro ('Straw Dogs'), Charlotte Rampling ('Melancholia'), Nick Gomez ('Looper'), Sean Patrick Flanery ('Saw 3D') and Yvonne Strahovski ('I, Frankenstein') are all on board season eight with Michael C. Since MTV announced that they have ordered a new pilot based on the 'Scream' franchise there has been a lot of talk revolving mostly around what the theme of the series would be and of course will franchise creator Wes Craven be involved? Craven (below) has been posting on Twitter in response to the many fan questions about whether he is indeed going to be involved with the new show and if he will be directing the planned pilot. Craven posted "It's true I've been approached. My response was, it would depend on the script.  If they have a great script/concept, it could be fun. If not, not." The MTV and Dimension Films co-production are still seeking writers for the pilot so just how this will all pan out is still up in the air at the moment.

'Precious' star Gabourey Sidibe -below ('Seven Psychopaths') has joined the cast for the third and upcoming season of FX's 'American Horror Story'. Announced over on co-creator Ryan Murphy's Twitter the 29-year old Oscar nominated actress has joined the new series entitled 'American Horror Story: Coven' this time around are will revolve around the theme of witches. Jessica Lange, Lily Rabe, Taissa Farmiga, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters and Frances Conroy will all return to the franchise whilst newcomer Kathy Bates ('Titanic', 'Misery') is also on board.

More TV teasers have arisen...this time we take a gander at a double dose of 'Dexter' delights highlighting the complications our two leads will be facing when the eighth and final season of Showtime's hit show kicks off its finale season in June. The first new teaser entitled "Killer or Innocent Victim" focuses of Deborah (played by Jennifer Carpenter), whilst the latter takes us "Behind a Mask" of our slash-happy star Dexter (Michael C. Hall). A couple of new teaser promos for the sixth season of HBO's 'True Blood' came to light over the past weekend so we thought we'd kick off our Monday by sharing them with you. The next season of the hit series arrives on small screens across the US on HBO from 16 June. Luke Grimes ('Taken 2'), Amelia Rose Blaire ('90210'), Jurnee Smollett ('Friday Night Light'), Karolina Wydra ('House'), Arliss Howard, Rutger Hauer ('Hobo with a Shotgun') and Anna Camp ('The Good Wife') will all be seen in the new season.

'Scream' heading to the small screen? Yup, that's right folks those MTV moguls have ordered a pilot for a new 'Scream' TV series based on the hit slasher franchise. The unexpected news dropped by the Hollywood Reporter also includes details about 'Scream' creator and helmer of the 4 previous feature installments in the franchise, Wes Craven, being tapped to direct the pilot. MTV will produce with Dimension Films and in the event of the pilot being picked up for a full series it will be scheduled for a Summer 2014 release. The hunt is on for some writers right now but there are no solid details as to what the plot would specifically revolve around at this time.

Actor Lawrence Gilliard Jr. (below), star of 'Gangs of New York' and Adam Sandler comedy 'The Waterboy', is being lined up for a role in the fourth season of AMC's hit zombie TV show 'The Walking Dead'. The 41-year old star, who has has made numerous appearances in TV shows in more recent years as well as appearing more recently in David Guy Levy's horror thriller 'Would You Rather' alongside Brittany Snow and Jeffrey Combs, will be set to play the role of Roy Stark, a former Army medic haunted by his past. Season 4, due this coming October, will also enjoy more prominent roles for returning players Emily Kinney (Beth), Chad Coleman (Tyreese),  Sonequa Martin-Green (Sasha) and Melissa Ponzio (Karen).

With only a couple of months to go before the final season of 'Dexter' airs on Showtime the network continued their torturous teasing with the release of a new promo for the 8th season entitled 'Vetting, Stalking and Killing'. The promo features some quick cut glimpses at footage from the finale series which kicks off on Sunday 30 June. Bethany Joy Lenz ('One Tree Hill'), Rhys Coiro ('Straw Dogs'), Charlotte Rampling ('Melancholia'), Nick Gomez ('Looper') and Sean Patrick Flanery ('Saw 3D') all star alongside the returning Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter and with another multi-epsiode appearance from Yvonne Strahovski ('I, Frankenstein') as Hannah McKay. Head below to check out the new feature.

As we suspected it appears that the poisonous Hannah McKay is set to return in a new multi-episode arc for the eighth and final season of Showtime's excellent drama thriller series 'Dexter'. EW bought news that Hannah, played by the gorgeous Yvonne Strahovski -below ('I, Frankenstein'), will in fact return once again to no doubt play with Dexter's head and heart after her jail break at the close of season 7. No word yet on her involvement in the final season but we're sure it'll end in tears. With a hugely successful premiere and continuing support and praise it was only a matter of time before A&E would greenlight a second season for the Carlton Cuse ('Lost') produced 'Psycho' prequel series 'Bates Motel'. A&E Network head Bob DeBitetto announced the renewal adding "With superb writing and exceptional acting, led by the critically acclaimed performances of Vera Farmiga ('Source Code', 'Orphan') and Freddie Highmore ('Charlie and the Chocolate Factory'), we're incredibly excited to see where Carlton and Kerry take Norma and Norman Bates next." The new season will begin pre-production later on in the year with another order of 10 episodes. The current premiere season, which is only 4 episodes in, continues to grip audiences so check it out if you can. Max Thieriot ('House at the End of the Street'), Nestor Carbonell ('Lost'), Mike Vogel, Olivia Cooke ('The Quiet Ones'), Nicola Peltz and Keegan Connor Tracy also star.

The sixth season of 'True Blood' is set to kick off on HBO on 16 June and so there's still plenty of time to pack in some more cast members whilst production rolls on. Next for the casting call sheet is Anna Camp -below ('The Good Wife') who is set to return to Bon Temps, Louisiana and the new season for her repeat role as Sarah Newlin. This is Camps first return to the HBO series since since season 2 which aired back in 2009. Showtime have unveiled "The Full Picture" in their latest all too brief teaser promo for the final season of their hit serial killer series 'Dexter'. Just bundles of blood feature in the new promotion as opposed to actual footage at this stage with additional ominous tones courtesy of 'Dexter's narration. Fresh from the unexpected death of LaGuerta siblings Dex and Deb will have to duck and dive from blame as the new eighth season leads us to a nail biting conclusion of the series. Sean Patrick Flanery ('Saw 3D'), Charlotte Rampling ('Melancholia'), Bethany Joy Lenz ('One Tree Hill'), Nick Gomez ('Looper') and Rhys Coiro ('Straw Dogs') are all set for roles in the new season.

It's promotion time in 'The Walking Dead' camp. A trio of faces from the third season of the hit AMC horror series will be bumped up to fully fledged regulars in the fourth season scheduled to air later this year. It's been merely days since the ending of the highly regarded third season that was packed with action, shocks and surprises (which we won't be spoiling here) but the tidbits of info already surrounding the next season are already coming thick and fast. Chad Coleman, who plays the likeable Tyreese as well as Sonequa Martin-Green, as Sasha, will both return to the new series as proper series regulars. Along with the duo Emily Kinney (below), who has played Beth for the past two seasons, will move into more of a substantial role. Melissa Ponzio, the sole survivor of the Govenor's mass attack in the finale, will also be back as a series regular whilst of course David Morrissey will be back once again as the eye-patched psycho.

HBO's 'True Blood' might not be our cup of tea yet it still seems to be striding along as strong as ever. The sixth season begins this June and another new cast member has been added to the ever increasing credit list. 'Brothers & Sisters' and 'Taken 2' actor Luke Grimes (below) has signed on for a recurring role as newbie James "a circa '70s-made vampire who is smart, spiritual and emotionally deeper than any other bloodsucker we've seen before". Grimes is just one of the many newcomers to the show that already includes Amelia Rose Blaire ('90210'), Jurnee Smollett ('Friday Night Light'), Karolina Wydra ('House'), Arliss Howard and Rutger Hauer ('Hobo with a Shotgun').

'One Tree Hill' star Bethany Joy Lenz (below) has signed up for the upcoming eighth season of Showtime's 'Dexter'. Lenz, best known for her role as Haley James Scott in the long running CW teen drama series, is set to play Cassie a former finance executive who moves into Dexter's neighbourhood. Cassie will make her first appearance in the fourth episode of the new season which is being touted as the final season. Sean Patrick Flanery ('Saw 3D'), Charlotte Rampling ('Melancholia'), Nick Gomez ('Looper') and Rhys Coiro ('Straw Dogs') are also lined up for roles in new season.

Another addition to the upcoming sixth season of HBO's 'True Blood' has arrived. 'House' star Karolina Wydra (below) has signed up to the series for the role of Violet. Described as "a strong, sexy, possibly dangerous vamp on par with the Eric Northmans and Bill Comptons of the world" her character is one of many to look forward to seeing in the new season heading our way this June. Wydra will also be seen later this year alongside Sharlto Copley ('District 9') and Michael Nyqvist ('The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo') in the Sebastián Cordero helmed sci-fi thriller 'Europa Report'. Amelia Rose Blaire ('90210'), Jurnee Smollett ('Friday Night Light'), Arliss Howard and Rutger Hauer ('Hobo with a Shotgun') are also on board the new season of 'True Blood' which kicks off on our screens on 16 June on HBO.

Showtime are set to premiere the final season of 'Dexter' on 30 June and the first promotional teaser for the upcoming eighth season has arrived. It features an entire killed off guestlist of all past victims from the previous 7 seasons culminating in the reassurance that 'Dexter' is still not yet done! This June sees the return of FEARnet's original comedy horror series 'Holliston'. The second season, which will kick off on Tuesday 4 June at 10:00pm ET/7:00pm PT during FEARnet's Twisted Comedy Block, will air over 10 episodes - a whole 4 episode increase! The show revolves around two aspiring horror filmmakers Adam and Joe, played by real life filmmakers Adam Green ('Hatchet III') and Joe Lynch ('Knights of Badassdom'). The show also sees the return of series regulars Corri English ('Unrest'), Laura Ortiz ('The Hills Have Eyes') and former Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider as Lance Rockett. And of course will once again feature a whole host of various horror-related cameos from the likes of  Bill Moseley ('The Devil's Rejects'), Kane Hodder ('Hatchet'), Sid Haig ('House of 1000 Corpses'), David Naughton ('An American Werewolf in London'), Danielle Harris (Rob Zombie's 'Halloween'), Bailee Madison ('Don't Be Afraid of the Dark') and James Gunn ('Dawn of the Dead', 'Slither' and 'Lollipop Chainsaw').

The smoking hot Elena Satine (below), star of Starz Entertainment's crime drama series 'Magic City' alongside Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Olga Kurylenko, is the latest to sign up for a role on Carlton Cuse's ('Lost') new supernatural Western TV show 'The Sixth Gun'. The NBC series, based on the comic book series created by Cullen Bunn and Brian Hurtt, will star Laura Ramsey ('No One Lives'), W. Earl Brown ('Scream'), Graham McTavish and Aldis Hodge. The sexy Miss Satine is set to play Missy Hume, a beautiful Madame whose fifth gun keeps the town of Brimstone mysteriously youthful who sets her sights on getting her sweet hands on the sixth when she learns of its existence. The pilot will be directed by Jeffrey Reiner.

'Hemlock Grove' will be unleashed on Netflix from 19 April and if you're still in two minds about whether you'll be checking out the new original horror series exec produced by Eli Roth ('Aftershock', 'Hostel') then perhaps this newly revealed trailer will help sway your decision. 'Hemlock Grove' stars Famke Janssen ('Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters'), Bill Skarsgård, Dougray Scott, Lili Taylor ('The Conjuring'), Landon Liboiron and Kandyse McClure. The gorgeous Amber Tamblyn (below) does like to dip in and out of the genre from time to time. But it looks like 'The Ring' and 'The Grudge 2' star will be planting her feet into a more meaty based offering by joining the cast of Fox's upcoming crime series 'Anatomy of Violence'. Based on the novel 'The Anatomy of Violence: The Biological Roots of Crime' by British criminal psychologist Adrian Raine the TV adaptation stars Skeet Ulrich ('Scream') and David Harewood ('Homeland') and will see Tamblyn join to play the young FBI agent who partners up with criminal psychiatrist (played by Ulrich). Mark Pellington ('Arlington Road') will helm the pilot penned by 'Homeland's Howard Gordon.
