‘Earthworks’ is a new tense and atmospheric psychological horror set in World War 1 that relies heavily on classic film-making techniques to create noir-ish suspense, like ‘The Shining’…but in trenches. The film is to be directed by David Hackl (‘Saw V’, ‘Grizzly’) and now you can help get this project made by pledging to their excellent Kickstarter campaign. They are looking to raise 500K GBP and as part of their continuing campaign to seek funding they are offering a special giveaway for Horror Asylum pledgers to win a fantastic Silver iPad Air (16GB), tshirt and special signed poster by director David Hackl.
The movie, written by Michael Gilvary (‘Chicago Fire’) is a ghost story set in the trenches of World War 1, centred around 5 young US doughboys who get lost in the fog of No Man’s Land on a mission on their first night at the Front. Unable to find their way back, they find that something unknown is directing them away from their trench.
