WIN THE WAILING ON DVD
Win THE WAILING on DVD Ending: 10 February 2017

To celebrate the DVD release of THE WAILING, available on DVD from 30th January, we have a copy of the DVD up for grabs, courtesy of Kaleidoscope Entertainment! South Korean box office smash, THE WAILING, is a riveting police investigation which turns into a sensationally terrifying thriller as a likeable cop is drawn into a nightmarish hunt for a source of pure evil disturbing his quiet, rural village.

Out of his depth, local police officer Jong-goo investigates a spate of killings, as well as an outbreak of madness seemingly connected to the recent arrival of a mysterious Japanese man who resides in the outskirts of the village. What’s more, he is horrified to discover his young daughter may have fallen under the stranger’s curse.

Jong-goo calls on a charismatic shaman to free his daughter from the stranger’s dangerous influence, but the shaman’s intense exorcism ritual threatens to worsen the situation… and Jong-goo, with his world collapsing around him, realises he must confront the ultimate evil.

With the likes of The Host, I Saw The Devil, and Train To Busan, South Korea is developing a reputation for producing top quality, world class horror films. THE WAILING cements that reputation – a box office smash, having taken over $50 million dollars in South Korea alone, the film is a stunning entertainment quite unlike anything that’s gone before. Hong-jin Na (who directed the acclaimed thriller Chaser) effortlessly combines bone-chilling frights and heart-wrenching drama with moments of comedy to relieve the nerve-shattering subject matter.

Packed with real emotional weight, and a devilish final act twist, this is assured, impressive and wildly original piece of filmmaking featuring inept cops, red-eyed flesh chewing ghouls, a mysterious shaman and a sinister stranger, as well as the most foul-mouthed possessed youngster since The Exorcist.

To be in with a chance of winning this prize just answer the following question:

Which of the following international horror movies also hails from South Korea?
A.
 Ringu
B. Train to Busan
C. Martyrs

LET'S BE EVIL DVD GIVEAWAY
Let's Be Evil DVD Giveaway Ending: 12 February 2017

To celebrate the DVD release of director Martin Owen's LET'S BE EVIL on the 30th January we have 3 copies to giveaway courtesy of Vertigo Releasing and Precision Pictures.

LET’S BE EVIL is a psychological sci-fi thriller set in Los Angeles. Three chaperones are hired to supervise an advanced learning program for gifted children, who wear Augmented Reality Glasses to assist in their education. Contained within a secure, underground facility, events quickly spiral out of control.

Children’s skulls are thin. Despite the controversy over mobile phone radiation, step into the near future and the full dangers are still not yet disclosed. Irrespective, in order to avoid slippage down the international educational league tables, the government declares its intention to equip children with Augmented Reality Glasses.

Trials suggest that being permanently ‘plugged in’ can significantly enhance IQ. The potential benefits appear to be enormous, but the electro-magnetism adjacent to a child’s brain starts to cause unusual effects. Our audience is at first amused and delighted, and, in a breathtaking denouement, ultimately shocked, disturbed and horrified

WIN TOWER OF LONDON ON DUAL FORMAT
WIN Tower of London on Dual Format Ending: 24 February 2017

To celebrate the release of Tower of London - out Dual Format 13th Feb. 2017 - we are giving away a copy courtesy of Arrow Video!

Having made their mark on American horror cinema with three colourful adaptations of Edgar Allan Poe – The Fall of the House of Usher, Pit and the Pendulum and Tales of Terror – Vincent Price and director Roger Corman enjoyed a brief hiatus from the macabre author with Tower of London. Shot in black and white, the film was loosely based on the Universal horror picture of the same name as well as two Shakespeare plays: a dash of Macbeth and a dollop of Richard III.

Price plays Richard of Gloucester, brother to a dying king and eager to take his place on the throne. When he is overlooked in favour of their sibling, the Duke of Clarence, things take a murderous turn. Richard goes on a murderous rage, only for the ghosts of those he has slain to return from the grave and haunt him…

Less well-known than the Poe movies, Tower of London is no slouch. Price relishes the opportunity to flex his Shakespearean muscles, just as he would eleven years later with Theatre of Blood, and Corman works wonders, as usual, with his low budget. If you’ve ever wondered what a drive-in Shakespeare film would look like, you’re in the right place!

To be in with a chance of winning this prize just answer the following question:

What is the nearest tube station to the Tower of London?
A.
 Tower Hill
B. Charing Cross
C. Piccadilly Circus

I AM NOT A SERIAL KILLER - WIN Blu-ray & Panda Balaclava Ending: 03 March 2017

A dazzlingly original, darkly funny and disturbing gem with a genre-bending twist, about a small town teenager in the US, obsessed with serial killers, who unwittingly discovers the identity of the killer who has been slaughtering residents for body parts.

Featuring a star-making lead performance from 17-year-old Max Records, and an extraordinary turn from Back To The Future’s legendary Christopher Lloyd, I AM NOT A SERIAL KILLER is the most sheerly entertaining and audaciously offbeat offering since Donnie Darko hit cinema screens.

A big hit when it premiered at the South By Southwest Film Festival in March, and was a must-see film at the prestigious BFI London Film Festival. It proves that left field indie cinema is alive and kicking, even if the Clayton County killer’s victims aren’t. “Hit the switch John...”.
