Art in all forms consumes my life and well...that includes horror. I have always been interested in the darker side of things, all aspects of my artwork: modeling, photography, performance, acting, painting, etc takes on this more ominous side. I love that horror, unlike any other genre can really freak you out, not just because it is full of gore , etc (which isn't bad all the time, in fact, cool as hell) but because it makes you think about people and the fact that anyone can reallly be deadly, even yourself. For instance, the first Texas Chainsaw was about getting lost in some seriously freaky backwoods. Back then, things were scarier...well when it came to that kind of stuff. Also take, Day of the Dead...not only did it have all the gore and awesomeness of a typical horror film, but it also had a shit load of messages about human nature and politics...but not in a way as to lecture, in a way that made me really think of how dangerous and sick we all really are : ) I also a a fair bit of acting, modeling, and performing. It's all about becoming that idea and completely throwing yourself into your artwork. I'm in love with creating art.... especially when horror is involved!
Why Did You Want to Become an 'Asylum Siren'? I LOVE horror, it is my absolute favorite genre of film, photography, modeling, performance, etc. Even in a lot of my fine art work I tend to carry over my interest in horror. I love what Asylum is all about, awesome artwork that you guys support.
Favourite Horror Movies Hard to pick just a few, however I am huge fan of the original Texas Chainsaw just because of its raw grittiness and the idea that scary shit happens in the woods, back in the time where it really was scary to go out there by yourself. I am also a huge fan of indie horror, it dosn't have to have a theatre release for me to love it. Last but not least is the Romero family, even though they have their differences they are both wonderful directors. Day of the Dead and Staunton Hill are phenomenal.
Least Favourite Horror Movies Knock Knock, love the FX but I honestly not a big fan. Horror films that make no sense or really don't scare or really make me think.... holy shit.
