Francis Ford Coppola’s new mystery thriller ‘Twixt’ isn’t exactly sounding like a particularly exciting prospect. It’s one of the many projects that either features a version of the classic American poet Edgar Allan Poe or is at least based upon his past works. Val Kilmer, Bruce Dern, Elle Fanning, Joanne Whalley, David Paymer, Alden Ehrenreich, Anthony Fusco, Don Novello and Ryan Simpkins all star in Coppola’s new movie. Poe in this feature is portrayed by British actor Ben Chaplin (‘Lost Souls’, ‘Dorian Gray’). The Kino Gallery have revealed a new international one-sheet from the movie as we wait with bated breathe at the prospect of a general release, or at best a direct to DVD announcement. Check out the new poster below.
“A writer with a declining career arrives in a small town as part of his book tour and gets caught up in a murder mystery involving a young girl. That night in a dream, he is approached by a mysterious young ghost named V. He’s unsure of her connection to the murder in the town, but is grateful for the story being handed to him. Ultimately he is led to the truth of the story, surprised to find that the ending has more to do with his own life than he could ever have anticipated.”
