Launched as a Kickstarter project, CLASSIC MONSTERS UNLEASHED quickly became the number one highest funded prose horror anthology on the platform, grossing nearly $60K during its campaign.
Edited by Weird Tales Magazine editor James Aquilone, CLASSIC MONSTERS UNLEASHED features twenty-nine stories from some of the biggest names in horror—including Joe Lansdale, F. Paul Wilson, Jonathan Maberry, Seanan McGuire, Ramsey Campbell, Lisa Morton, Owl Goingback, Richard Christian Matheson, Maurice Broaddus, Tim Waggoner, Linda Addison, and Dacre Stoker—as well as selected stories from an open submissions call. The collection features an introduction from film critic and writer Kim Newman and art by renowned British horror artist Mister Sam Shearon and comic artist Colton Worley.
CLASSIC MONSTERS UNLEASHED is the first in the Unleashed anthology series. The next installment, Shakespeare Unleashed, is planned for publication in 2023.
