HALLOWEEN FANS can take an impressive costume to the next level this year, by joining the cast of creatures at the North East’s biggest scream park.
Psycho Path returns to Lintz Hall Farm, Burnopfield, next month, known for its huge scale, frightful entertainment and trained scare actors on hand to spook visitors.
And organisers are currently recruiting horror fans who think they have what it takes to deliver a terrifying performance at this year’s event, with auditions taking place on 13 September.
Those hoping to get in on the action will need to prepare a two minute monologue or performance and can request a 15 minute slot between 12pm to 8pm, which must be booked in advance.
Successful applicants will be expected to get in the spirit of Halloween and not be afraid to try things out of their comfort zone to create a memorable experience for all who visit the site.
Christiano Crawford of 700 Acres Ltd, which organises Psycho Path, believes this is a great opportunity for fans of the spooky holiday.
“We have some incredible attractions planned for our visitors this year but our team of scare actors are what really makes the event stand out,” he said.
“It’s a really unique experience and a great way to celebrate Halloween all month long but, like any job, it can also be hard work so applicants should consider the fact that some evenings may be cold, repetitive or have challenging guests.
“All that being said, the good times really do outweigh the negatives, and it’s sure to be a fantastic, fun and unforgettable experience for everyone involved.”
Scare actors must be available for a three hour rehearsal slot on 16 and 23 September, before delivering their best performances on 24 September, Fridays and Saturdays throughout October and Sunday 31 October, in time slots between 5pm and midnight.
Those auditioning must be 17 or older on 24 September and should bring ID, a face mask and gloves and wear clothes and attire that they don’t mind getting dirty.
Auditions must be booked and confirmed in advance by emailing info@psycho-path.co.uk or christiano@psycho-path.co.uk.
The event returns bigger and better than ever this year, with new attraction Isolation offering four scares in one, vast maize maze Corn-ered set across 2.5 acres, disorientating house of horrors iScream and apocalyptic wasteland Psycho City returning with a new route and new horrors.
Tickets start at £23 and any children aged 13 to 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. To book, visit https://www.psycho-path.co.uk/
