Chloe Moretz (‘Kick-Ass 2’) gives an unnerving pose in a new promotional Comic Con banner for Kimberly Peirce’s redo of ‘Carrie’. Moretz once again dons her blood stained prom dress for the new asset which quite frankly is becoming a little tiresome. With the movie itself still months away from release let’s hope the marketing department has something a little fresher up its sleeves. Julianne Moore (‘Hannibal’), Portia Doubleday (‘Youth in Revolt’), Alex Russell (‘Chronicle’), Ansel Elgort, Judy Greer (‘The Village’) and sexy Brit Gabriella Wilde also star. Check out the new banner courtesy of Yahoo! Movies below.
“The quiet suburb of Chamberlain, Maine is home to the deeply religious and conservative Margaret White and her daughter Carrie. Carrie is a sweet but meek outcast whom Margaret has sheltered from society. Gym teacher Miss Desjardin tries in vain to protect Carrie from local mean girls led by the popular and haughty Chris Hargenson, but only Chris’ best friend, Sue Snell, regrets their actions. In an effort to make amends, Sue asks her boyfriend, high school heartthrob Tommy Ross, to take Carrie to prom. Pushed to the limit by her peers at the dance, Carrie unleashes telekinetic havoc.”
‘Carrie’ opens in the US on 18 October and will arrive here in the UK on 29 November.
