Filmmaker Fede Alvarez has managed to score another two cast members for his redo of ‘The Evil Dead’. Yep the young cast that is shaping up nicely and which already includes Shiloh Fernandez (‘Red Riding Hood’), Jane Levy (‘Suburgatory’) and Lou Taylor Pucci (‘Carriers’) now has a couple of new volunteers looking to take on the horrors of the cursed cabin. Jessica Lucas -below (‘Amusement’, ‘Cloverfield’) and Australian actress Elizabeth Blackmore have been signed up to enter the woods in the Ghost House and Mandate Pictures project. Shooting on ‘The Evil Dead’ is taking place in New Zealand and you can check out the plot info below (as if you didn’t already know).
“Five twenty-something friends become holed up in a remote cabin where they discover a Book Of The Dead. An archaeologist’s tape recording reveals that the ancient text was discovered among the Khandarian ruins of a Sumerian civilization. Playing the taped incantations, the youths unwittingly summon up dormant demons living in the nearby woods, which possess the youngsters in succession until only one is left intact to fight for survival.”
‘The Evil Dead’ is set to arrive on 12 April 2013.
