One movie star who always seems to pick the ‘right’ projects is actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt -below. After breezing through 2012 with appearances in outstanding sci-fi hit ‘Looper’, award-winning biopic ‘Lincoln’ and even Batman finale ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ the 31-year old star is looking to make 2013 ever better. And Deadline are now reporting that Gordon-Levitt has signed on for Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller’s comic-book sequel ‘Sin City: A Dame To Kill For’. He is set to play Johnny a leading part that will appear in ‘overlapping styorylines’ in the sequel. Mickey Rourke, Clive Owen, Bruce Willis, Jamie Chung, Rosario Dawson, Jessica Alba, Dennis Haysbert, and Crystal McCahill are all set to appear in the upcoming follow-up.
“Stuck with nothing but a seedy gumshoe job and some demons, Dwight’s thinking of all the ways he’s screwed up and what he’d give for one clear chance to wipe the slate clean, to dig his way out of the numb gray hell that is his life. And he’d give anything. Just to feel the fire. One more time. But he can’t let himself lose control again, can’t ever let the monster out. And then Ava calls. With a new look generating more excitement than ever before, this third edition is the perfect way to attract a whole new generation of readers to Frank Miller’s masterpiece!”
‘Sin City: A Dame to Kill For’ is aiming for a 4 October 2013 release date.
