Unique horror anthology sequel ‘V/H/S/2’ has already landed On Demand and on iTunes for all to enjoy. We caught it the other night and it has definitely come on leaps and bounds since its predecessor. Perhaps not as scary as the original but intelligent, different and gloriously gory. Apple have revealed some new artwork to coincide with the iTunes release which pays homage to the first segment in the movie entitled ‘Clinical Trials’ which was written and directed by returning helmer Adam Wingard. Each segment will get its own poster art in the near future which we’ll bring you as and when. Gareth Huw Evans, Timo Tjahjanto, Simon Barrett, Jason Eisener (‘Hobo With a Shotgun’), Eduardo Sanchez (‘The Blair Witch Project’) and Gregg Hale also contribute to the feature.
“Inside a darkened house looms a column of TVs littered with VHS tapes, a pagan shrine to forgotten analog gods. The screens crackle and pop endlessly with monochrome vistas of static—white noise permeating the brain and fogging concentration. But you must fight the urge to relax: this is no mere movie night. Those obsolete spools contain more than just magnetic tape. They are imprinted with the very soul of evil.”
‘V/H/S/2’ lands in US theatres on 12 July.
