Even though Kevin Smith’s newest horror offering ‘Tusk’ is still yet to nail on an official release date it seems the filmmaker is already considering a spin-off feature focused around a couple of characters featured briefly in his new project. “There are two characters in a convenience store in Tusk that you see for five minutes, very much Ronsencrantz and Guildenstern.” said Smith. “I’ve built a whole movie around them and I have brought one of the other characters from Tusk back.” The spin-off is titled ‘Yoga-Hosers’ and even though it doesn’t appear to be genre-related at all, it will at least see one of the characters from ‘Tusk’ return. In addition to this ‘Tusk’y tidbit you can check out the new official one-sheet from the movie below.
Smith is also working on another previously announced horror project Anti-Claus. ‘Tusk’ is due out some time this Autumn/Fall with A24 distributing.
“TUSK is a modern-day monster movie that follows a journalist named Wallace (Justin Long) who finds the story of a lifetime in Mr. Howe (Michael Parks), a worldwide adventurer with amazing tales and a curious penchant for walruses.”
