New blockbuster zombie flick ‘World War Z’ has managed to score an impressive opening weekend and notched up a huge $111+ million in box-office takings. So it comes as no surprise that the Max Brooks adaptation will be getting a sequel. Vice chairman Rob Moore over at Paramount Pictures has confirmed that the Summer hit will be sequelised just a few days after star and producer Brad Pitt hinted at the fact that more ‘World War Z’ could be on the way. Originally planned to be a trilogy the idea for such a vision was quickly halted after the various production problems that the movie faced but now the money is rolling in it looks like these plans could be bought back to the table. ‘World War Z’ stars Pitt, Mireille Enos, Eric West, James Badge Dale and David Morse (‘Disturbia’).
