Darren Lynn Bousman’s ‘Mother’s Day’ is extremely news heavy at the moment, and yet another new cast announcement has been made. This time it’s the mother! And it’s going to be played by none other than Rebecca DeMornay! The 50-year old actress (Yes! 50!!!), who’ll be rembered by most for her role as that whacky nanny in ‘The Hand That Rocks the Cradle’, will be joining the current cast of Jaime King, Briana Evigan, Shawn Ashmore, Patrick Flueger and Alexa Vega.
“Every time you look at (Rebecca), she is on fire and to take her to this level, which is like her role in ‘Hand That Rocks the Cradle’ times a thousand, is exciting.” says Bousman. She is not some Freddy Krueger or Jason, so it was important for me to get a real actress.” he adds.
The home invasion horror ‘Mother’s Day’ will arrive in theatres sometime next year.
