Variety are reporting that ‘Eurotrip’ and ‘Mean Creek’ actor Scott Mechlowicz has joined the cast of the new James Wan produced spook flick ‘House of Horror’. Mechlowicz (below) will be joining the Will Canon helmed project which only this week saw actors Frank Grillo (‘Zero Dark Thirty’) and Maria Bello (‘The Dark’) confirmed in the lead roles. Although the movies actual title is still up in the air (we think that ‘House of Horror’ is good enough?) we do know that the yet titled horror flick will revolve around the investigation into a mysterious group of murders that took place in an abandoned house. More on this as we get it.
“The film centers on the aftermath of a horrific massacre: five college students, brutally murdered inside a decrepit, abandoned home. Fresh on the scene, detective Mark Lewis and the police department’s psychologist, Dr. Elizabeth Klein (Bello), question one of the few survivors, who explains they were amateur ghost hunters seeking out paranormal phenomenon at the abandoned house, believed to be haunted. But what started out as a harmless activity turned into something truly terrifying, and the suspect claims the responsibility doesn’t lie with any of the inhabitants but with the house itself.”
