A familiar location will pop up in the next season of A&E’s ‘Bates Motel’. TV Guide have been chatting with stars Freddy Highmore, Vera Farmiga (‘Orphan’) and show creator Carlton Cuse whom all shared a few interesting details on what we an expect from the second season due to air early next year. The fruit cellar where Norma Bates’ body was found in the original ‘Psycho’ is the new location that’ll be getting some screen time in the new season and it looks like it’ll continue to be quite a morbid place. The premiere episode itself will also see our young Norman continue his taxidermy skills and his latest project is certainly more significant than the dog he previously worked on. Kathleen Robertson (‘Boss’), Paloma Kwiatkowski (‘Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters’), Michael Vartan (‘Alias’), Michael Ecklund (‘The Divide’), Rebecca Creskoff and Kenny Johnson are all on board the new season. Head below for the comments.
“There are many creepy things down there.” says Freddie Highmore. It appears that Norman will be converting the basement into his own private taxidermy studio.
“It makes Norma utterly uncomfortable, as most mothers would be,” says Vera Farmiga.
So what about this ‘bigger project’ that Norman will be working on? “It’s not human.” states exec product Cuse. “Not yet. We’re taking baby steps.”
