Even though NBC’s musical-drama ‘Smash’ has just been axed after two seasons the gorgeous former ‘American Idol’ contestant Katharine McPhee (‘Shark Night 3D’) has already managed to snare some new work. McPhee has signed up to play the lead in the Paul Tamasy helmed thriller ‘Depravity’. The story is a “psychological thriller” which has been written by crime novelist Dennis Lehane (‘Shutter Island’) and focuses on a group of roommates who accidentally kill someone. McPhee (below) will star as the unfortunate scapegoat for the murder.
“A group of roommates accidentally kill an innocent man they thought was a killer. It sends the group into a world unhinged from any moral compass, one in which they may be forced to confront not only the evil around them but the evil within them as well.”
