The latest addition to live-action graphic novel sequel ‘Sin City: A Dame to Kill For’ is the shapely figure of former Bond girl and all round French hottie Eva Green -below (‘Casino Royale’). Green will take the role of the iconic femme fatal character Ava Lord straight from the pages of Frank Miller’s 1993 original Dark Horse comic. The follow-up will be helmed by both Miller and Robert Rodriguez who stated “We’ve been wanting to tell this story for a very long time. Ava Lord is one of the most deadly and fascinating residents of Sin City.” Of course this being a Robert Rodriguez project a whole slew of cast members are required to be involved. This includes Josh Brolin (‘Planet Terror’), Joseph Gordon-Levit (‘Looper’), Mickey Rourke, Jamie Chung, Bruce Willis, Rosario Dawson, Jaime King, Jessica Alba, Crystal McCahill, Dennis Haysbert, Ray Liotta, Jeremy Piven, Juno Temple and Alexa Vega.

Rodriguez and Miller said of Green’s involvement:
“From the start, we knew that the actor would need to be able to embody the multifaceted characteristics of this femme fatale and we found that in Eva Green. We are ecstatic that Eva is joining us.”

“Stuck with nothing but a seedy gumshoe job and some demons, Dwight’s thinking of all the ways he’s screwed up and what he’d give for one clear chance to wipe the slate clean, to dig his way out of the numb gray hell that is his life. And he’d give anything. Just to feel the fire. One more time. But he can’t let himself lose control again, can’t ever let the monster out. And then Ava calls. With a new look generating more excitement than ever before, this third edition is the perfect way to attract a whole new generation of readers to Frank Miller’s masterpiece!”

‘Sin City: A Dame to Kill For’ arrives on 4th October 2013.
